TOSR02-D - 2 Channel USB/Wireless Timer Relay Module supporting Xbee, Bluetooth and Wifi + Smartphones
Product Description
TOSR02-D - 2 Channel USB/Wireless Timer Relay Module supporting Xbee, Bluetooth and Wifi + Smartphones
This is a USB OR Direct Wireless Timer Relay Module from TinySine, It allows computer control switching of external devices by using the USB port of your computer!
It has a wireless extension port that supports the popular XBEE or Bluetooth Bee or Wifly Modules. Control devices remotely with Zigbee/Xbee, Bluetooth Bee or Wifly.
The TOSR02-D module can powered by USB bus or DC power and provides four volt free contact relay outputs with a current rating of up to 10 Amps each.
Bonus Feature: It also supports a delay timer function. You can set each relay output to delay action from 0 second - 24 hours.
Relay power rating
If the relay is used at a voltage or current exceeding this specification, the life of the contacts may be significantly shortened.
A full datasheet for the relays used on the TOSR02-D is here: G5LA datasheet
If you use DC Power ,the Input voltage should be DC5V.
First Step - Install the Driver
The TOSR02-D module uses FT232RL USB to UART chip . Before using the TOSR02-D you will need to download the FT232RL Driver.
Connect the TOSR02-D and windows will detect it and ask for the drivers. Point windows to the inf folder and it will install the driver.
The TOSR02-D will now appear as a com port.
Commands
The TOSR02-D operates with an easy to use command set as described in the table below.
TOSR02-D Baud rate : 9600
Test program and example source code
To get the TOSR02-D up and running in the minimum amount of time we have put together an example program to demonstrate the functionality of the module.
The examples below are for the 4 channel relay model, but can be used to visualize the 2 channel relay model with Xbee, Blue Tooth Bee or Wifly modules.
